With her magnificent sitar playing, Anoushka Shankar blurs the boundaries between Indian and Western music, just as her father, the legendary Ravi Shankar, did. It has earned her worldwide success, affirmed by no less than four Grammy nominations. Her latest music, a dynamic mix of Indian raga, electro and jazz, is her most challenging yet.
The 34-year-old musician has been performing on stage since her early teens and has released nine albums to date, featuring renowned musicians such as her half-sister, jazz vocalist Norah Jones. With her new band, combining acoustic and electric instruments, she will perform music from her ninth album Land of Gold.
